While the public has significant influence through direct elections at the national and local level, certain key officials are appointed to ensure stability, expertise, and national cohesion. Senate Elections (Upper House)
Candidate Eligibility

Candidates may compete in city-level primaries to narrow the field before the general election.
General Election Campaign
City-wide campaign period with public financing options, mandatory debate and forum participation requirements, and full transparency standards.
City-Wide Vote
Each city elects 2 senators by direct public vote. Elections are staggered — 1 senator per city elected every 3 years.
Senate President Election
The Senate President is elected internally by Senate membership for 3-year terms.
People's Legislator Elections (Lower House)
Candidate Eligibility
Minimum age 25. Natural-born citizen or 10-year naturalized citizen. 5 years of residency in the city they will represent. Community service record preferred.
Proportional Representation System
Representatives are elected through proportional representation within each city — ensuring minority voices and diverse ideological blocs are represented in proportion to votes cast.
General Election
Each city elects 8 representatives simultaneously. All seats in the People's Legislator are contested in the same election every 3 years.
Chief Representative Election
The Chief Representative is elected internally by the full chamber membership.
